This one takes the cake, Space Networks happens to be a tech company in Kenya dealing with VSAT related stuff and probably operate a Network Operations Center (NOC). You know what, this is seriously scary. Again this just goes to show where the problem lies as far as security of Kenya websites and Networks lies. The situation cant get any worse than this, can it?

Then there is this one, the Government of Kenya website. It was initially thought that it had been hacked into but it so happens that actually after further digging I can determine that this one is a false alarm. It happens to be cloaking and not hacking. I think I should take a break on my caffeine intake.

This being a Kenya Government law enforcement body does not make the situation any better. The website was hacked into and defaced and there is now some dude with a machine gun keeping vigil.

This is a follow up to the tracking of hacked high profile websites in Kenya right across the border. This is a grave website security concern in the region.

Econet Wireless Kenya a Mobile telecommunications network company in Kenya also known as Yu, got their website hacked into. This just adds weight to a appalling lax in security on many of the Kenyan websites. Their website was hacked and defaced less than 24 hours ago. The saving grace here is that at least they noticed it quick enough and managed to pull off a cover up. Have a look at these images.
