About

Hey, I am an Independent Kenyan Software Developer and Web developer (with a tinge of 3D work) who is enthusiastic about life and its adventures. That’s me. Steve Obbayi.

This is my personal space; my domain, kind of my Laboratory where I can try risky stuff that wont hurt no one but me. Its basically a place where I share the things I have picked up along life’s Journey.

I have been alive on earth for many years and have spent a pretty good chunk of my adult life making the bellies of computers my playground. Sobbayi.com is that part of the belly that spits out stuff as i create room to mess around a little more; another day.

I have been making computers do queer stuff for many years; for the greater part of the last two decades. Ouch! I need a life. Just goes to show how time goes by when having fun.

During this period I have learned a lot wholly through experience by battling late through the wee hours of the night, fending off sleep, mosquitoes and other unsuspecting creepers and crawlies in the suburbs as well as downtown Nairobi.

Though not smooth sailing all the time, I have come to enjoy what I do. that’s an under statement. I love it and this is place I do it.

I also play with some 3D stuff mainly thanks to Blender. Other than coding I love music. I do play the piano to relax. Have a couple of compositions, just that I cant seem to find where I put the lyrics amidst this clutter on my desk (If you find anything that looks like a song in any software you get off me please return it to me.

What else have I forgotten. love God… He’s really close to me. I love the ocean too and love to spend time there too. Sharks? Not now. Catch me on twitter and I just might fill you in. Might also mention the Jelly Fish incident.

I guess that’s pretty much it for now. If I haven’t sold myself silly then you can always get in touch with me for more.
