After days of black coffee that has been reheated a million and one times, we are all proud to have this one out of the door. We gave ourselves a tight schedule and hit hard at it. I had not been happy with our current version (2.6) for so many reasons I must say.

Lets not think that it was riddled with errors or it was a miss-coded product. We took a gamble in setting the objectives of the version 2.X series. It was less-customer oriented. All customer-centric (I hope there is such a word in the English dictionary) features where packed into the member area and I thought that we needed to give the customer more value when they pay us a visit. Ok we could regard customers as visitors.

We had intended version 2.X series to run for at least a minimum of one year before giving it a face-lift. But I just couldn’t go further than 10 months. So the guys here got cracking and punching on their keyboards. The coffee budget graph recorded a distinct climb that could compete with global fuel prices.

After all the dust settled we were all proud to have the site online. This Version is not feature complete however. I still have to work on my blog. Give me a week or two and I will have it done.

I have been convinced to share my innermost thoughts so…
Well back to the order of the day. I also included a math lab. This will just be my playground. You see, I do a little bit of math during my free time so I guess this will be just fine.

I am now going to layout what has been included into the new site and what as been removed. Lets begin right away.

These are the features that have been included into the new website:

• Web Log (blog): of my work in progress: – this is a blog about the thoughts, ideas and theories that come up along the way not only when working on solutions but even just taking that late evening walk in the park…
• Search facility: As more and more information is pump into our website database. We felt that its time our visitors be able to search out through all the data we have colleted. Were sure this will be a good surfing experience for you all.
• Improved Interface: This is the single most noticeable feature of this site. We felt we needed to grow the site to accommodate the changing needs of our operations as well as make the visitors surfing experience a pleasant one.
• No Quote Form: Not much to say about this… We just pulled it off because frankly; it wasn’t being used much.
• Printer friendly versions: You now have printer friendly pages where you can print out your favorite articles.
• Cross platform Friendly: The site now looks pretty much the same when surfing using all major browsers.
• Send Articles to friends: You can now share our articles with a friend.
• Secure Shopping facility: You can now order various software applications and utilities, and other merchandise as time goes on.
• Newsletter and updates on new articles: Get updates through email when new articles are posted and when anything new happens at Sobbayi Interactive.
• Math Lab: This is a section with nifty calculators and tools, articles, java flash cards, dynamic multiplication tables, metric conversion tables, magical squares and many more games and stuff. This section will later give rise to the computer lab section.
• Last but not least, we have included screenshots where appropriate at the downloadable items.
