Wall Mapper 1.2 is released.

Version 1.2 of Wall Mapper the desktop wallpaper management tool has been released. Unfortunately version one was never rolled out. Just before the release I decided to hold back and sort out a nasty bug that lay out of sight and within the application.

This program had a bug that caused the desktop to flicker quite irritatingly just before it switches to the next image in queue. Though it was not noticeable and would probably be tolerated by others I decided to just get rid of it once and for all because it irritated someone I knew.

So back to the development lab it was for Wall Mapper. While in the lab I discovered yet another bug and finally fixed it. Based on the changes I had done, I only saw it fit to release it as version 1.2.

Basically this program is something I threw together. One of our team members was requested by a friend to have it done for him. And so that’s how the idea came into being. It was developed further than originally planned and Wall Mapper was then born – Out of a noble gesture it was born.

Wall Mapper is a program that allows the user to install it on their windows computer and select a single image file to use as desktop wallpaper. The program however gives the option of allowing the user to select several images from a folder or more and have them displayed as wallpaper at preset time intervals thus switching through queued images dynamically. Lovely piece of work this one is.
